Stop for a second and think of the last time you were yourself? I mean you, striped naked, exposing your real soul? We all have insecurities, but you should not let your insecurities define you. Find confidence in your imperfections. They make you a real human. Be you, uncategorized. The world makes us feel like we need to fit a certain category of literally everything. This is the sad truth. We tend to do, or not do things to fit these categories. We hold off on things we want to do because we feel the need for it to have a certain category. Well i am here to tell you it DOES NOT! If you have a dream, a passion or an idea, do not let society destroy it. The world needs more real souls. Unguarded, open, honest, and beautiful humans. Start of your day every morning breathing in your true self and exhaling all the bullshit that fucks with your mind. Be you unconditionally. Only allow people in your life you feel deserve your energy. The world needs more open hearts and open minds. Do not let a previous fucked up relationship ruin you. Let it go. Breath in NOW. We are only promised today. Remember that. In the end you will find your real friends. The ones who get you. The ones who love you for you. Keep those beautiful souls close and let the rest go. You do not need many friends, you only need real friends who you can be yourself around with no judgement. The world needs the real you. All sides and parts of you. Be unapologetically you.



INTRO- Real Talk- My life

Here it is! My first lifestyle-ish blog post! I have a lot going through my head at all times and although I love creating recipes and sharing them on Instagram, I am SO much more then that. First let me start by saying: I am not perfect. I will have grammar issues on this blog. I also do not claim to know it all or be an expert in any field.  I am good at being me though:)  The reason I am starting this blog is because I have a lot going on in my life at all times… and to be honest, I am not one that likes sharing it in video format on my Instagram stories. I am, however, passionate about writing my feelings. I rather write about my emotions then talk about them. Also, I think its therapeutic for me to allow my thoughts into the universe this way.

So here is little peek into my life. Besides all the recipes i share on Instagram, i have 12 e-cookbooks that used to be able to sustain me. My sales are about 1/8 of what they were back in 2013, but i have heard the same with many people that have ebooks. I am totally ok with that! In fact i believe it has upped my hustle game as a Entrepreneur!

As you might know, I also started a project back in 2013 (Fit Nation) where i lived with families and teach them how to cook healthy recipes custom for their wants and needs. To date i have lived with 52 families all around the world ranging from low income to high profile, singles, to families of 8! I have also worked with well over 100 families and individuals around the US, taught private and group cooking classes, and group grocery shopping trips. This year i really wanted to take a step back from social media and focus on more tangible things…humans i can actually touch, rather then being just another instagramer/recipe developer. I want to be LA’s private go-to chef! I started my own family meal prep service recently… I get to know you and your family and create a menu thats tailored for your families needs. I also love connect more with local women. I want to be a source of encouragement. I saw a psychic when we were in Sweden for christmas and she said that i was going to be a public speaker/life coach! She said 44(I’m 37 now) will be the peak of my career!  I LOVE talking to and connecting with people just as much as i love cooking! I have received 1000s of very personal emails from women all over the world thanking me for sharing my journey through my Instagram. The funny thing is, as i have said on here, i am much better writing my feelings then actually talking about them. I guess i have been able to convey my life really well through social media, and i never thought it would have lead me in the direction it has… for that i am eternally grateful. I have gone through SO much shit in my life…but i am seriously thankful for it all.

This space is going to be my weekly journal. I am going to talk about what i am up to, who i am connecting with, and why i am doing what i am doing.  So lets get to it! Ok. Today is Friday February 17,2017…. already 6 weeks into this new year! Dang that was fast! Last week i did a tasting at Equinox(high end gym) in West Hollywood to get some possible clients. It was CRAZY! The complements i got made me feel like i was the best chef in LA! I had several people saying “this is the best thing i have ever ate”! I mean really?! People took about 60+ of my business cards… BUT i only got one email from the event! Oh well. I have 2 clients i am cooking for this week. 1 is Ben's(my husband) clients sister. She is having bunion surgery and prepping 4 dishes for her family to last her 3-5 days. Tomorrow morning I am meeting my other client who was concerned about her kids school lunches and wanted healthier options. I am looking forward to meeting them and seeing what they like and creating some recipes for them! Monday I got invited to a influencer dinner held by @feedfeed. I love getting invited to influencer events, but to be honest, its usually the same type of people… very superficial (i mean i do live in LA) and fluffy. BUT, their are the rare instances i actually am able to have a great conversation and connect with someone who doesn’t think they are all high and mighty! Then Tuesday i fly out to Sacramento and live with Patty and her daughter for 5 days. She reached out to me just a couple of weeks ago when they were both diagnosed with type 2 diabetes! My goal is to really familiarize them with the Ketogenic diet which has been shown to actually reverse the disease! As you might know i was on the diet for 3 months and have written a e book about it along with 40 Keto recipes. Along that line, I am about to start my study course to be a nutritional coach through Primal Kitchen!! I mean, I kinda have been doing it already for several years but i did not have any type of credentials. I am planning on taking the course and getting certified so i can team up with my husband and offer online coaching! He’s already a NASM certified trainer and is currently taking a nutrition class through Precision Nutrition and plans to get certified in the next month! So, I am really looking forward to working together with him again and helping people all over the world!

Ok guys! I promise to write on this blog weekly. My posts might be all over the place, but thats just who i am and how i think. I don’t care how many people actually read my blog, that is not the purpose. This is therapeutic for me.

Chocolate white chocolate chip cookies|vegan|grainfree

So today I used my WMF pressure cooker for the first time today! I must admit I was a bit scared, and intimidated by it😅But it was actually a lot easier to use then I had imagined! I used it to cook black beans for this recipe. 


On to the recipe: 


1 3/4-2 cups cooked black beans, i used this 

1/3 cup coconut sugar, I used this 

1/3 cup almond butter or peanut butter, I used this

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 or more cup cacao or cocoa powder, I used  

Place all the ingredients in your food processor and blend until smooth


Stir in white chocolate chips (use as much or as little as you want), I used  

Place the dough in the fridge for an hour to make it easier to work. 

Roll into balls and press down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 

Bake in a 350f oven for 10-12 minutes

LA Fit Expo Favorites


We had a blast at this years LA Fit Expo💪 Met so many wonderful people as we were walking around with our tops that we got made for this event that read: "Live Happy. Live Healthy."On the front and "Fitalicious Life" on the back. We tried loads of new products. Some really stood out to us and I wanted to feature them!

Peanut Butter from Mexico! GO NUTS

I found this incredible new brand of peanut butter called Go Nuts while visiting my friend in Cancun, Mexico. She had 2 flavors in her pantry and I was BLOWN AWAY😍


She told me she got it at the local farmers market, and the brains behind it is a girl in her early 20s! I just had to reach out to this girl and tell her how much I loved her peanut butter!

Meet Grecia, the brains behind "Go Nuts": 

My name is Grecia Berber, l am 22 years old and I am studying to be a nutritionist.  

I have always been a peanut butter lover, I used to love aladino and skippy, but when I found out what the hydrogenated oils in them could do to my health I started to buy the natural ones, which were not as good as the ones I used to get, some o them were saltier or had a dry consistency. One day I saw on pinterest that you could actually make your own peanut butter on a food processor, so I decided to give it a try and I bought a bag of unsalted peanuts and made a very good peanut butter, though not so smooth. 

Every single friend or family member that tasted my peanut butter asked me to make one jar for them, and I used to do it for free at first, happy to help them eat a healthier version of peanut butter, but at the beginning of my 7th semester my parents started to have some economic problems so I needed to make some money on my own. One day a friend ask me to sell a peanut butter jar to her, and that day I decided to officially start selling peanut butter. 

I have always been an “all or nothing” kind of person, if I do something I do it the best way possible, so I decided to create a real product. I asked some of my teachers for helpon how to produce and package it properly, I asked a designer friend to make the logo and labels and I started to sell jars in school and online via facebook and instagram. One month latter my food processor was not enough so I bought a special machine and the peanut butter was even better, with a creamier texture.

I went to every market, festival and gastronomic event in Mérida, Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum for about 4 months so people get to know my products, at the end of that time I had 8 points of sale in Merida, 1 in cancun, 1 in playa del Carmen and 1 en Campeche, and I was selling online to people from all over the country, USA and South América.

I started Go Nuts! 5 months ago, and I have a lot of plans to make it grow and some day it is available everywhere so people can buy healthy foods without any ingredient that could harm their health and without having to go to special stores to get it."

Breakfast for my friend Nadia in Cancun.

I met Nadia 2 1/2 years ago through a message on KIK. She  told me she had been following me on Instagram for some time and had been eating what I ate, and that I had inspired her to get in shape and that had lost 30lbs and wanted to thank me!😱 


She sent me this before/after picture ⬆️ 

We instantly became friends! We messaged each other all the time. When I moved to Chicago she visited me while she was traveling for her job. She had a high paying job working for a hotel chain. Several weeks ago and she told me she had quit her job and was going to backpack for a bit through Mexico! I was like WHAT😱? She said she was unhappy at her job, and that is was exhausting. She told me she wasn't sure exactly what she wanted to do, but she needed time to figure it out. I loved her courage for leaving her career! She told me I should visit her since she had free time now. I immediately bought a round trip ticket! 

Nadia lives with her boyfriend Marco💏 They used to be more active but have not been lately. So I told Nadia that we were going to workout together everyday while I am here! We have been doing plyometric, circuit training workouts. She also has a TRX that we have used. Although she's sore from our first workout she's been doing amazing!  

Today is a holiday in Mexico and her boyfriend has the day off. I wanted to surprise them with a healthy breakfast even though I didn't have much to work with.


I stuck with simple recipes that they could recreate.  

I made 2 ingredient cookies made with bananas and oatmeal. You just mash some bananas and add dry oatmeal, place the mixture on a surface with some oil on it and bake in a 350f oven for 12-15 minutes. Nadia didn't have a mixing bowl so I used a pot to mix my ingredients 😄 

i also made simple egg muffins thay consisted of 4 eggs, veggies, and cheese. Baked in a 375f oven until it was cooked through. Super simple recipes! 


Nadia didn't have a baking sheet so I just placed some aluminum foil on a one of the shelves from the oven ⬆️ #batchlorlife

i wanted to drizzle some chocolate on the cookies, but since they didn't have any I mixed some coconut oil with some sweetened chocolate powder.

Vegan Almond Joy Gelato


This recipe is super simple and yummy!

In a sauce pan mix:

2 cans light can coconut milk

30 drops liquid stevia

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons non GMO corn starch

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

cook on medium/low heat until the corn starch and cocoa powder dissolve 

let cool for at least 2 hours before pouring into your ice cream maker

after your gelato is set by mixing in your ice cream maker, sprinkle 1/4 cup sliced toasted almonds.

Are you one of those that has, or been thinking about doing a ”DETOX/CLEANSE"?

Well, then you might want to read this first!

I’ve always thought all these cleanses and detoxes has been such a fad and just pure bullsh*t. It sounds so good in many ears though: ”Clean those toxins out of your body”. ”Take this 6-day cleanse and you will rejuvenate your soul, mind and body”. Or: ”You’ll lose up to 10 lbs with this magic cleanse”... No shit Sherlock?! Drinking just some juices everyday for 6 days, in other words: being in an extreme caloric deficit, will of course eventually lead to a weight loss! Will you stay there when you go back to your normal eating habits? Most probably NOT, instead you will regain those pounds. Instead focus on the long term, eat real nutritious food on a daily basis. Not some type of ”quick fix detox/cleanse” from time to time that you think will make wonders!

I’ve wanted to touch this subject for a long time and finally I came across a great article form the guys at where they explain that detoxes and cleanses are just a big SCAM.

Protein Cinnamon Toast Crunch


Today I wanted to make some type of cereal using Quest Multi-Baking Mix, and BOOM I came up with this recipe! 

it takes a little bit of time to make it, but if you like cereal it's well worth it! 

Here is what you will need: 

1/2 cup cornmeal  

1 scoop Quest Multi Baking mix

2 teaspoons of powdered stevia/ xylitol, if liquid stevia I would say around 30 drops

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

3 tablespoons water  

Roll this mixture into a ball


Split the ball in 2 and place some plastic wrap on your counter space. Place one of the corn balls then another plastic wrap on top and roll the dough as thin as you can. 


Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchement paper and bake in a 300f oven for 10 minutes.  

Take out and tear apart into small pieces and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes or until they are super crunchy. 

thats it! Enjoy they alone or with your favorite type of milk!

Soft Batch Vegan Protein Cookies


So I was gifted Vega Sport from This is one my favorite vegan protein powers because it doesn't have a nasty  after taste, or grittyness to it like many other vegan protein powders I have tried. 

I really like the way vegan protein powders bake! It's more porus then whey protein, and acts more of a flour. 

This morning I made what turned out to be a really yummy batch of chocolate chip cookies🍪 they are soft and yummy! 


Here are my ingredients: 

2 tablespoons flax meal + 6 tablespoon water, let set

2 tablespoons unsweetened Apple sauce 

2 tablespoons coconut oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons NuNaturals Simple syrup , can also be substituted for regular stevia, agave or coconut nectar

2 scoops vanilla vega sport protein powder

1/3 cup oat flour  

1 teaspoon baking powder  

1/4 cup chocolate chips, I used Lillies which is sweetened with stevia

roll into balls and press onto a parchment lined baking sheet.



Press down a bit with your fingers.  

Bake in a 350f oven for 15 minutes.

A week spent with Mariana and Rum


A week spent with Mariana and Rum

We had the pleasure to stay with Mariana and Rum for a week in Downtown LA in the beginning of January. This wonderful couple that are soon to be married, are as you can see already pretty damn fit! :) So this stay wasn't about helping them lose weight. They initially reached out to Vevian because they were in the process of starting a health and food related business and they wanted to see the possibilities of collaboration and having some signature dishes from Vevian. This stay was more for them to explore different ways to cook a variety of dishes, and at the same time we worked out with them every day showing them different ways and exercises that can be used in the gym or anywhere!
